Jewelry Upgrade Guide
General Information
- You can upgrade each piece of jewelry up to level 20.
- Each upgrade level has its own minimum required character level to equip.
- Jewelry dropped by Clockworks or Meteonyker cannot be upgraded.
- Jewelry produced by the Lifestyle System cannot be upgraded either.
- Ultimate Jewelry is a different type of upgrade, so there is a separate guide here.
How to Upgrade
- Visit one of the upgrade NPCs for example Boboko, the NPC in Central Flarine.
- Open the NPC Menu and click on Upgrade. Jewelry can be upgraded in the General Upgrade tab.
- You need one of two Power Dice:
- Power Dice 8 — obtainable by monster drops from level 21+
- Power Dice 10 — dropped by dungeon monsters, giants or bosses (higher success rate)
- Starting from upgrade level +4, you must also use a Scroll of AProtect to prevent item breakage if the upgrade fails.
Upgrade Chances, Required Levels & Stats
Upgrade Pity System
- Flyff Universe uses an Upgrade Pity System for weapons, armor, accessories, piercing, and elemental upgrades.
- The idea: with each failed attempt, the chance of success increases, reducing extreme variance in outcomes.
- The math is based on a Markov chain: e.g. if base chance is 2%, it might start at 0.062% and increase by 0.062% per failed attempt.
- The number of failed attempts is tied to the item, not the player. So when trading items, the fail-count carries over.
- You can see the current number of failed attempts on the item tooltip.
