Ultimate Weapon & Ultimate Jewelry Upgrade Guide

Guide to Ultimate weapons and jewelry: conversion, upgrading, materials, rerolls, jewel slots, and key differences explained.

Overview — Ultimate Equipment

Ultimate equipment is a special tier derived from regular equipment. There are Ultimate Weapons and Ultimate Jewelry.
Ultimate items can be upgraded up to +10. Unlike standard items, all Ultimate upgrades require Sunstone and Scroll of XProtect.

Only certain base weapon families are convertible. The items explicitly eligible are: Lusaka’s, Lusaka’s Crystal, Coral and Ankou's weapons (the item tooltip will indicate eligibility with a yellow note ).

First, upgrade the base (eligible) weapon to +10 using regular Scroll of SProtect and Power Dice 6 or Power Dice 12.
Take the +10 weapon to any Upgrade NPC e.g. Boboko in Central Flarine and provide:
3× Shining Oricalkum (dropped by Level 145+ Giants, [Shade Lieutenant] Kriton and. Also obtainable from quests and Level Reach).
3× Ultimate Orb (made from Ultima; Ultima drops from Level 145+ Giants, [Shade Lieutenant] Kriton and with a fairly high chance in chests in the Wilds Dungeon or the Ankou's Asylum — 10 Ultima → 1 Ultimate Orb via the Orbs of Power Quest from the Mysterious Islander on Coral Island. Also obtainable from quests and Level Reach).

Upgrades are performed at any Upgrade NPC e.g. Boboko in Central Flarine.
Required materials include:
Sunstone (drops in cursed dungeons, from Coral Island Giants & Violets and from [Shade Lieutenant] Kriton).
Scroll of XProtect (drops from Coral Island Violet monsters or purchasable in the Cash Shop).
Mineral and Erons in quantities that depend on the current upgrade level.

The Ultimate Upgrade System works exactly like the regular Upgrade System. The Pity System is also active here.
At upgrade levels +6 and +10, the weapon gains an additional random orange stat.
The values of the orange random stats are exactly half of the yellow random stats.
If a stat is already assigned to the orange or yellow stats, it can no longer be rolled for the other stats.

Dismantling an Ultimate Weapon returns the base +9 (non-Ultimate) version with new randomized base stats; you may reconvert that +9 → +10 → Ultimate to get new Ultimate stats. Dismantling is 100% successful. However, since the introduction of Cash Shop Scrolls, this is strongly not recommended, as it is significantly more expensive.
Cash Shop Scrolls:
Scroll of Ultimate Power: rerolls all base stats (4 or sometimes 5 stats) on a Lv. 150+ Unique Weapon (Ulimate or non-Ultimate).
Scroll of Ultimate Bonus: rerolls both yellow Ultimate stats on a Ultimate Weapon.
Scroll of Ultimate Bonus II: rerolls both orange (+6 & +10) Ultimate stats on a Ultimate Weapon.

Ultimate Weapons can accept Ultimate Jewels (and Runes). Each upgrade of the Ultimate weapon unlocks a jewel/rune slot, up to 10 slots total.
Insertion: double-click the jewel and apply it to the weapon (works like using a piercing card).
Restrictions: you can insert multiple jewels of the same type, but the success rate decreases each time.

Cursed dungeons (level 141+), Infernal dungeons (level 166+) and [Shade Lieutenant] Kriton have a chance to drop an Ultimate Jewel Box, which can contain grade-1/2 jewels, jewel pieces, and runes. Some jewels/runes are currently only obtainable via these drops.

Removing a jewel costs 5,000,000 Penya but destroys the jewel.
If you want to remove a jewel and keep it intact, use the cash-shop item Jewel Tweezers (preserves the jewel when removing).

Jewelry cannot be converted from regular jewelry. Ultimate Jewelry exists as its own item class. It is not a transformed normal piece.

Ultimate Jewelry can be acquired (or exchanged) via NPCs such as Boboko (Central Flarine) in return for Jewelry Dust and Cursed Jewelry Fragment. There you can exchange all types of Ultimate Jewelry. Upgrades are also available by request, but these are more expensive. (from +0 up to +4).

Jewelry Dust is obtained by dismantling existing jewelry pieces (e.g., Vigor Ring) at [Jewel Manager] Peach in Central Flarine.
The amount of Jewelry Dust recovered depends on the jewelry’s upgrade level (higher upgrade → more dust; +20 yields significantly more).

Upgrading Ultimate Jewelry uses the same key materials as weapon upgrades: Sunstone and Scroll of XProtect, processed via any Upgrade NPC e.g. Boboko in Central Flarine.
